Ingredients: Ceylon green tea Young Hyson (76%) with chamomile flowers (20%) and natural passion fruit aroma (4%).
Country of Origin: Sri Lanka
International Quality Grade Designation for Tea: YH (Young Hyson) - Only the two youngest and most delicate leaves at the top of the shoot are used for its production. They are harvested just before the rainy season when they are still in bud.
Brewing Instructions:
- Pour hot water (70°C to 80°C) over a teaspoon of tea. The brewing time should be between 3 to 5 minutes.
You can brew it in two ways:
- For a short brew (up to 3 minutes), the infusion will be very refreshing and stimulating.
- For a longer brew (up to 5 minutes), the infusion will contain less caffeine and have a relaxing effect.
Over-brewing causes the infusion to taste bitter without increasing its caffeine content. On the contrary, tannins that give a bitter taste are produced with each additional minute, neutralizing the effect of theine.
Green tea leaves can be brewed three times. The first brew should last about 3 minutes, and each subsequent brew should be extended by 1 minute.
This tea is recommended for cold brewing with cold water!
